Our History

The Brooklyn Redemptoris Mater Seminary was canonically established on May 19, 2018, Solemnity of Pentecost, by the Most Rev. Nicholas DiMarzio, D.D., Bishop of Brooklyn.

Redemptoris Mater is a diocesan and missionary seminary which forms presbyters for the New Evangelization at the service of the local Diocese of Brooklyn and the Universal Church.

May the Holy Spirit inflame our hearts and guide our mission so that many humble, holy and missionary presbyters be formed in this Seminary.
